Foam packing is ideal for transporting delicate equipment.

Foam packing is basically as simple as filling a container with foam and placing the object to be packed in the container before the foam hardens. The object is generally inside a polythene bag. When the foam hardens, the object is perfectly protected. Foam packing is ideal for transporting delicate equipment. The set foam provides stability and prevents motion that could damage the equipment. Foam packing is superior to any type of soft packing.

Foam-in-place packing is also used for “void filling” in delivery trucks. This consists of filling in the spaces between cartons with foam to prevent the cartons from moving around, falling over, or bumping into each other during transport. Spray-on foam will adhere to just about any surface.
